Bridgeport, CT (April 29, 2019) – On April 27, Bridgeport Police received a request for assistance regarding a motor vehicle accident at Chopsey Hill Road and Summit Street.

A Hartford Connecticut transit bus caught fire on Friday morning, April 26. The driver was hospitalized for the examination of injury and treatment. Authorities confirmed that the route the bus was traveling was from 1-91 S coming back from Bradley International Airport.

First responders arrived at the scene of a serious rollover crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer truck. The accident occurred on I-95 Southbound in the early Sunday morning hours. Authorities have confirmed that the crash happened at 1:30 a.m. between exits 17 and 16 in Westport. Firefighters and police were on the scene where they found a car laying on its roof in the right center lanes.

First responders were called to a private home on Bank Street around 3:15 a.m. Saturday morning. A pick-up truck crashed into the home. The truck was driven by 23- year old Jayden Bruce of Groton. Bruce was the only individual in the car at the time of the crash.

Police have confirmed that there was a multi-vehicle crash occurred Saturday morning, April 27. According to State Police, the crash occurred in Colchester on Route 16 at Main Street at approximately 9:40 a.m. Two people were injured as a result of the crash, but their names have not yet been released to the public. EMS assessed a passenger and transported them to the nearest hospital to tend to their injuries and provide further care.
