According to police, two individuals were travelling west along Interstate 691 when the driver lost control of his motorcycle due to the wet conditions of the road. The motorcycle went down on its side and slid across the roadway. The driver and passenger on the motorcycle were ejected from the vehicle.

Neither occupant of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet. Both individuals sustained serious injuries and were transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the two individuals injured in this crash.
