Westport, CT (April 30, 2019) – On April 28, around 1:30 a.m., Westport Fire Department responded to the scene of a rollover collision on the southbound side of Interstate 95.

Although Connecticut police are investigating the cause of the accident, a car and a tractor-trailer collided along the roadway. Officers arrived at the scene of the collision to find a single car on its roof in the middle of the roadway. The driver of the car sustained injuries and was transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment and evaluation. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.

We hope the injured driver is able to make a full recovery from their injuries.

Semi-Truck Accidents In Connecticut

Although being involved in any type of car accident places individuals at risk of sustaining injuries, accidents which involve semi-trucks often result in catastrophic and fatal injuries. The size and weight of semi-trucks make them far more deadly than most other types of vehicles on the road.
