Posted by Connecticut Accident News | Apr 30, 2019 | 0 Comments

Plainfield, CT (April 30, 2019) – On April 23, Plainfield Police responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision on Shephard Hill Road.

A man was traveling in a 2004 GMC Denali with his wife and four children when he attempted to apply his brakes. The vehicle did not respond to the man's application of his brakes, which caused the vehicle to travel off the road and strike a telephone pole.

The man's wife and four children were all injured in the collision. All five individuals were transported to the Plainfield Backus Emergency Care Facility for medical treatment.

According to the man, he had recently taken the vehicle in to have the brakes worked on, but they were inoperable at the time of the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
