Westport, CT- Tractor Trailer Rollover Results in Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

Westport, CT (April 28, 2019) -   First responders arrived at the scene of a serious rollover crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer truck. The accident occurred on I-95 Southbound in the early Sunday morning hours.  

Authorities have confirmed that the crash happened at 1:30 a.m. between exits 17 and 16 in Westport.  Firefighters and police were on the scene where they found a car laying on its roof in the right center lanes.  

Firefighters from the Westport Fire Department confirmed that the driver of the rolled car sustained non-life-threatening injuries.  The driver was transported to the Norwalk Hospital for treatment.

Information regarding the identities of the tractor-trailer truck driver and the driver of the car has not yet been released.  The Connecticut State Police are investigating the cause of the accident and as more information becomes clear it will be released.

We are thankful there were no fatalities in this serious accident.  We hope the driver of the car has a full recovery.
