Trumbull, CT (May 4, 2019) - Officials have confirmed one fatality in a serious crash that happened Friday night. Offices released some information on the victim, a male aged 54.
Police said a pickup truck and a sedan collided around 7:00 p.m. on Daniels Farm Road. The crash resulted in one of the vehicles striking a private residence on the road. There were no injuries reported at the private residence that was struck.
The driver of the pickup truck was trapped inside and witnesses tried to provide assistance to him while the police were en route. Police arrived at the scene and were able to provide medical help until firefighters from Trumbull Center and Nichols Fire Departments extricated the man from the truck. The Trumbull EMS assessed and treated the man. They transported him to St. Vincent's Medical Center where he later died.
The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. Additional information will be released as the investigation continues.
