Newark, CT (June 5, 2019) – On June 5, emergency crews responded to the scene of an incident at 55 Ruscoe Road.

Just after 5:30 p.m., a 25-year-old tree worker from Stamford was working with his tree company on a property. While trimming trees over the driveway at the home, the boom on the truck came in contact with the power line running down the driveway.

The worker went over to open the door, without knowing what had happened, when he was shocked and thrown to the ground. The worker was unresponsive and transported to Norwalk Hospital in critical condition.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family at this time.
