Westport, CT – Eight Injured In Crash On Interstate 95

Westport, CT (July 22, 2019) – On Sunday, July 21, crews from Norwalk Fire Department, Connecticut State Police, Westport EMS, Norwalk EMS, and AMR reported to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 95.

Reports from the scene of the incident indicate that eight vehicles collided along the southbound side of the interstate near Exit 16. The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to burst into flames.

Eight victims were injured in the collision and transported to area hospitals for medical treatment.

Crews worked diligently to clear the scene of the accident and re-open the interstate for oncoming traffic.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
