Waterbury, CT (July 6, 2019)The police have reported an accident occurred on Friday night at 3077 North Main Street. A two-car and one-motorcycle crash occurred. The driver of the motorcycle was a 26-year-old male who was driving on North Main Street at Buckridge Road when he crossed over into the southbound lane.

An oncoming car witnessed the motorcycle swerving over in the lane and attempted to avoid the collision by driving out of the way of the motorcycle and onto a front lawn. This lead to the motorcycle to strike a second car that was coming behind the first, head-on.

The motorcyclist was ejected onto the lawn of 3077 North Main Street and was pronounced dead at the scene from massive head injuries.

The drivers in both of the cars associated with the accident have not yet reported injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation and Buckridge Road to Grassyhill Road will be closed as a result.

Our thoughts are with all the parties involved in the accident, as well as the family of the deceased.
