New Canaan, CT (December 10, 2019) - New Canaan Fire, Police, and EMS quickly responded to reports of a toddler getting struck by a car Tuesday morning.
New Canaan's police department received a 911 call at 8:45 a.m. detailing the incident. Lucas Richard McGee, a nearly two-year old boy, was in a driveway on North Wilton Road when a car struck him. The driver of the vehicle is unnamed and the exact details of the incident have not been disclosed as of late.
Lucas was transported to Norwalk Hospital, where extensive emergency efforts were taken. Despite the efforts of many, the boy succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Lucas was the son of Conner and Kate McGee from New Canaan and was going to turn two years old on December 31st. Our thoughts are with Lucas and his family in this time of tragedy.
