Torrington, CT (July 10, 2019) – Police stated that a serious motor vehicle accident took place around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10. According to authorities, the collision, which is believed to have involved no more than two cars, happened along East Main Street in the town of Torrington for unclear reasons. 

While the details concerning the cause of the collision are vague at this time, police stated that East Main Street was closed down between Torrington West Street and Whitewood Road for an unspecified duration of time. Emergency medical crews arrived at the scene. However, police have not reported on the seriousness of injuries at this time.

Although injuries are uncertain, authorities stated that at least one person was airlifted to the hospital via LifeStar. The events that led to this crash are under investigation.
