Stratford, CT (July 24, 2019) – On Saturday, July 20, Stratford Police and Emergency Crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on River Road and Main Street around noon.
According to reports, Erik Brewster and his wife Rose, along with their three children, Cloe, Kaylee, and Riley, as well as Cloe's boyfriend, Shaun, were traveling down the roadway in a minivan. As the family went around an S-curve in the road, they were struck head-on by a van, which entered their lane trying to pass another vehicle.
Erik, Cloe, Kaylee, Riley, and Shaun were all seriously injured in the collision and transported to area hospitals and trauma units for treatment. Rose was injured in the collision but was not hospitalized.
Seven people from the van were also injured in the collision and transported to area hospitals.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
