Stratford, CT (August 9, 2019) – On August 8, just before 9:30 p.m., police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95, near Exit 30.
According to reports from responding police officers, the driver of a 2003 Honda Accord lost control of their vehicle and collided with a guardrail along the interstate. The vehicle then went down an embankment before coming to rest.
Two individuals inside the vehicle sustained minor injuries in the incident.
One passenger in the vehicle, who was identified as 18-year-old Destiny Arriaga, was seriously injured and transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that Ms. Arriaga later succumbed to her injuries.
