Stratford, CT – Crash On Interstate 95 Sends 5 To Hospital

Stratford, CT (June 17, 2019) – On June 17, just after 12:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95 near the southbound exit 30.

According to reports, a semitrailer traveling down the roadway collided with a minivan for unknown reasons. When the Stratford Fire Department responded to the scene of the incident, the discovered the semi-trailer was leaking fuel on the roadway. Emergency crews requested the assistance of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to assist with the cleanup.

The drivers of both vehicles, as well as three passengers inside the minivan, all sustained injuries in the collision. The five injured victims were transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

At this time the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
