The driver, a Dominic Hamm from Southington, suddenly veered off the road at 10:20 p.m. His car slid down a grass embankment and forcefully collided with a tree. Every day, countless people are injured in automobile accidents across our state. Unfortunately, countless victims are seriously injured in collisions due to other drivers' negligent acts. Being injured in a collision can have a devastating impact on a victim's life.

In single car accidents, one must be careful to not jump to the conclusion that the driver was at fault, fell asleep or was distracted. While this is often the case, there are other explanations that may be closer to the truth of what occurred. Another vehicle can sometimes force another off the road or to react in a precipitous manner. Sometimes mechanical failure can be to blame or even defective tires.
