Monroe, CT (October 5, 2019) - Emergency crews quickly responded to reports of a black sedan lighting on fire after it crashed into a house.
The car, carrying four unnamed occupants, suddenly veered off the road at around 10:45 p.m. The car drove through the front lawn and struck the home. The sedan then fell six feet from a rock retaining wall into the driveway, where it burst into flames. Videos posted on the internet show flames as high as seven feet coming from the hood of the car.
By the time Stepney Fire Department vehicles arrived on scene, there was a serious risk of the flames spreading to the house. Stepney Fire Department said that the four people in the car were all injured, but the severity of their injuries have not been reported. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
