Bicycle Crashes in California
In order to keep everyone safe on the road, drivers must treat bicyclists with the same respect they treat their fellow drivers. The California Highway Patrol reports that between 2003 and 2015, 1,753 bicyclists were killed in California. In order to keep this number from growing, drivers and bicyclists alike must commit themselves to stay alert for one another.
When a vehicle hits a bicyclist, the bicyclist is at a great disadvantage. What could simply be an inconvenience to a vehicle driver can be a life or death situation for a bicyclist.
