Portland, CT (May 16, 2019) – On Wednesday, May 15, Portland Police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
According to police, a female driving an SUV pulled out onto Main Street, from a private drive, in front of a motorcycle. The SUV struck the motorcycle, causing serious injuries to the motorcyclist.
An investigation of the incident found that the driver of the SUV was under the influence of alcohol. Police arrested the woman and charged her with DUI.
The injured motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
