Pedestrian Struck and Killed on I-95

Stratford, CT (December 4, 2019) - Police and EMTs responded to reports of a pedestrian car accident on Interstate 95 Wednesday morning at 6:30. The crash happened near exit 32.

The collision occurred when 61-year-old Levern Hill of Bridgeport attempted to dash through the southbound lane on foot and was struck by a Chevy Cavalier. The driver was a Meriam Elaine Jones, aged 59 from Stratford. She was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for evaluation and treatment and Hall was pronounced dead shortly after the incident. 

The accident created severe traffic congestion eight miles down the highway and the southbound lane was completely closed for hours. The area has since been reopened.
