Orange, CT (August 7, 2019) – On August 6, just before 6:20 a.m., Orange Police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Route 1.
Reports from police indicate that just after 6:00 a.m., a 27-year-old male was traveling west along Route 1, on a black Kawasaki motorcycle, when he collided with a black Nissan traveling south on Dogwood Road. Further investigations determined that the 46-year-old driver of the Nissan was attempting to turn east onto Route 1 when the collision occurred.
The motorcycle sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The driver of the Nissan was uninjured in the collision.
At this time, the Reconstruction Team from the Orange Police Department is working on determining the cause of the incident.
