Old Saybrook, CT – Richard Dupre Killed In Pedestrian Crash On I-95

Old Saybrook, CT (May 14, 2019) – On May 14, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident on Interstate 95.

According to police, a 1997 Jeep Cherokee was traveling south along Interstate 95 when it struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway between exits 70 and 69 just before 12:30 a.m.

The driver of the Jeep, 71-year-old Andrew Sikorowicz, was traveling in his vehicle in the right center lane of a four-lane highway when the pedestrian came into the roadway directly in front of him. The driver was unable to stop his vehicle, which ultimately led to the collision.

The victim, who was later identified as 51-year-old Richard Dupre, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
