Newtown, CT – Injuries Reported In Collision On Interstate 84

Posted by Connecticut Accident News | Jun 21, 2019 | 0 Comments

Newtown, CT (June 21, 2019) – On June 16, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the westbound side of Interstate 84 near exit 10.

According to reports, 26-year-old Kendy Pierre was traveling along the roadway in a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta sedan, with three passengers. 20-year-old Patrick Ryan, in a 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV, followed behind her. Due to traffic conditions in the area, both vehicles slowed down in the roadway.

A third vehicle, a 2014 Nissan Versa driven by 52-year-old Elizabeth Reale, came behind the vehicles and crashed into the rear end of the Tiguan. The impact from the collision forced the Tiguan ahead, causing it to rear-end the Jetta.

All four occupants of the Jetta and Reale all sustained injuries in the collision and were transported to Danbury Hospital for medical treatment.

We pray those injured are able to make a full recovery from this incident.
