Newton, CT-Two Injured After Car Crashes Into Sandy Hook Home

Newton, CT (June 22, 2019) -   Sources are confirming severe injuries have been reported in an incident where a car crashed into a home in Sandy Hook.

Friday morning, June 21, a car crashed through a Sandy Hook home causing two people injuries as well a propane leak.

Local firefighters were on the scene around 9:22 a.m. The driver of the vehicle that crashed into the house had to be extricated and transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The homeowner was also hospitalized with injuries from the crash.

The identities of the driver as well as the homeowner have not yet been released.  The home did sustain a tremendous amount of damage.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
