New London, CT – Crash On Water Street Leaves Three Injured

New London, CT (May 9, 2019) – On Wednesday, May 8, New London Firefighters responded to the scene of a collision on Water Street near Governor Winthrop Boulevard.

According to reports, a van and a taxi collided at the intersection for unknown reasons. The impact of the collision forced the taxi off the roadway, where it crashed head-on into a tree.

Three people inside the vehicle were injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation at this time.
