New Haven, CT (June 16, 2019) - A hit-and-run crash caused two people to end up in the hospital after being thrown from their car on Saturday evening. Five people were in the car at the time of the accident, aged 17-21. The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wilmont Road and Brookside Avenue.
According to authorities, the victims were turning on to Brookside Avenue in the West Rock neighborhood when another vehicle smashed into them. Witnesses spoke to police and indicated that there were two individuals who fled the scene after the crash.
When the police arrived at the scene, two of the victims were lying on the road. Emergency medical care was summoned to the scene and they transported the victims to Yale-New Haven Hosptial.
