Posted by Connecticut Accident News | May 17, 2019 | 0 Comments

New Canaan, CT (May 17, 2019) – Just before 7 a.m. on Friday, May 17, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Smith Ridge Road in New Canaan.

A white-colored workman's van and an Acura sedan collided along the roadway for unknown reasons.

Police investigations find that one vehicle may have been speeding at the time of the collision, which increased the extent of damage to both vehicles at the scene.

One person was trapped inside their vehicle. It took fire crews over 20-minutes to extricate the driver. Two people injured in the collision were transported to Norwalk Hospital for medical treatment.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time as we hope for everyone's full recovery.
