Middletown, CT (May 14, 2019) – On May 14, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Washington and High Streets.

According to police, firefighters in the area were battling a fire on West Street in Middletown during the early morning hours. The truck was getting more crews when it collided with a Subaru near the intersection of Washington and High Street.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation at this time, but officers believe a failure to obey the flashing lights of the fire truck may have been the cause of the collision. Two other vehicles were involved in the collision as well.

A woman inside the Subaru was extricated from her vehicle and transported to a Hartford hospital for medical treatment.

We pray the injured woman makes a full recovery from this incident.
