Mansfield, CT – UPDATE - Thomas Paul Leahy Killed In Route 195 Crash & One Injured

Mansfield, CT (May 24, 2019) – Just before 8:45 p.m. on May 23, Police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Route 195.

According to reports, 21-year-old Thomas Paul Leahy was traveling south along Route 195 in a 2007 Toyota RAV4 when his vehicle crossed over the double center lines in the roadway. As the RAV4 crossed over, it struck a 2008 Windham Regional Transit bus head-on.

The impact of the collision caused Leahy to sustain fatal injuries. Leahy was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.

The driver of the bus, 36-year-old Jerome Garvil Carson, sustained injuries and was transported to Windham Hospital for medical treatment.
