Litchfield, CT – Leonel Salvador Killed In Drowning Incident On Bantam Lake

Litchfield, CT (July 2, 2019) – On June 30, Litchfield police and firefighters, along with the Goshen Dive Team, responded to the scene of a drowning incident on Bantam Lake near Point Folly.

According to reports, 19-year-old Leonel Salvador was swimming in the lake when he went under the water without resurfacing around 3:30 p.m.

Crews responded to the scene and were able to locate the victim approximately 50-yards from short. Crews attempted lifesaving efforts and transported him to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
