Lakeview, CT – Colin Reuter Injured In Bike Crash

Posted by Connecticut Accident News | Jun 06, 2019 | 0 Comments

Lakeview, CT (June 6, 2019) – On June 2, numerous racers were in the area for the Lime Rock Cycling Grand Prix in Lakeland. Colin Reuter, who is famously known as a lead developer for BikeReg.com and the president of the New England Bicycle Association, was riding on his bicycle when he crashed and fell on top of another rider's bike.

During the fall, a piece of the cycling equipment for the second rider's bike went through his leg, just below the knee area. Reuter remained calm and called for help. The second rider involved in the collision sustained a dislocated shoulder.

Both Reuter and the second rider were transported to an area hospital for medical treatment immediately following the incident. Both riders are expected to make full recoveries from their injuries.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Colin Reuter and the second rider at this time.

Statistics show that roughly 25 kids are provided medical treatment every hour for injuries sustained from bicycle accidents. Unfortunately, adults are not without worry when riding bicycles. When racers are traveling along the road at a high rate of speed, they are at serious risk of being injured should they become involved in an accident. In cases where bicyclists are injured in collisions caused by reckless riders, it is imperative that they contact a Connecticut personal injury attorney as soon as possible.
