Hamden, CT (May 28, 2019) – On May 27, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near Dixwell Avenue.
According to reports, 74-year-old Robert Sheard was attempting to cross the street on a mobility scooter near the Miller Memorial Library when he was struck by a car.
Sheard was provided medical attention on site before being transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital. Authorities have since confirmed that Sheard succumbed to his injuries.
