Hamden, CT – Crash On Dixwell Avenue Results In Injuries

Hamden, CT (July 11, 2019) – Shortly after noon on Thursday, July 11, New Haven Police responded to a possible shooting at a home on Catherine Way. After arriving at the scene, the suspect fled in a car.

Officers continued after the suspect before the driver crashed into an SUV on Dixwell Avenue near Benham Street in Hamden.

The crash resulted in a complete shutdown of Dixwell Avenue for over an hour as police worked the scene and investigated.

One person inside the suspect's vehicle was injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
