Glastonbury, CT – Victims Of Route 2 Crash Identified

Glastonbury, CT (July 25, 2019) – On July 20, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Route 2 just before 3:30 p.m.

According to reports, 40-year-old Klever Pena was standing next to a 2009 Nissan Rogue, which was parked along the white shoulder lines, when the vehicle was sideswiped by a 2013 Ford F-350. Pena and another person on the side of the road were both struck by the vehicle in the collision.

Pena sustained serious injuries in the incident and was transported to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries.

A second victim, identified as 65-year-old Sophia Cruz-Sanchezdepena, was transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment of injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
