Cromwell, CT (October 26, 2019) - The Cromwell Police Department and Cromwell Fire Department responded to a motorcycle accident Saturday night near Cromwell Growers.

They received a panicked 911 call from a witness detailing the accident. The accident occurred in the area of 429 Main Street around 9:45 p.m. and the only vehicle involved was a motorcycle.

The two people involved in the incident were 58-year-old Thomas Varricchio and 50-year-old Patricia Capsolas-Bonavita from Rocky Hill. It has not been released to the press or the public the cause of the accident or if both of the people were on the motorcycle or if one was a pedestrian. However, it has been released that when first responders arrived on the scene, the two people were unconscious. The personnel attempted life saving measures, but their injuries proved fatal, and the two victims were pronounced dead later on the scene.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.
