MULTI-CAR ACCIDENTS IN CONNECTICUT

Every day, countless people are injured in automobile accidents across our state. Unfortunately, countless victims are seriously injured in collisions due to other drivers' negligent acts. Being injured in a collision can have a devastating impact on a victim's life.

Multi- Car accidents in Connecticut happen frequently on Connecticut highways. Given the increased speed and decreased reaction time, there is a tendency for more than one vehicle to be impacted than may occur on small roadways that are less heavily trafficked. Increased speed reduces practical reaction time because the vehicles are moving at higher speeds and closing distances between hazards to be avoided like other vehicles slowing down abruptly or already disabled from a crash. Accident reconstruction of multiple vehicle accidents are also more difficult because the sequencing and root cause for the vehicle movement must be carefully considered and reconstructed. What appears to be the fault of one vehicle or another after the cars have come to a stop is not always indicative of fault and legal liability.

The pain and suffering are often lasting and overwhelming. In some cases, victims have to undergo surgery for their injuries that is painful and costly. When victims are harmed in accidents caused by the negligent acts of others, it is crucial that they contact a car accident attorney in Connecticut as soon as possible.
