Durham, CT (April 17, 2020) - During these stressful times of coping with Covid-19, many people are reducing their time on the road. However, people who are essential workers are on the roads commuting and those who aren't still need to get their groceries for the week.
At nearly 8 in the morning, state troopers responded to reports of an accident around Route 79. A silver 2017 Ford Fusion with an unnamed driver crashed into the side of a 2010 Nissan GTR near 317 Madison Road. Reporters said that the Ford Fusion as travelling south at the time of the accident while the Nissan GTR was driving north.
The driver of the 2010 Nissan GTR was a 38-year-old Hamden resident named Douglas Ross. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The other driver was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital. The incident is still under investigation by CT State Police.
