Fairfield, CT (June 4, 2019) – On June 1, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Lockwood Road.
Reports from responding agencies show that a landscaper was tending to a lawn in the area when he ran over a metal spike with his lawn mower. In crossing over the spike, the mower catapulted it into an SUV that was passing through the roadway.
The spike broke the rear window of the SUV, causing the glass to shatter over a 2-year-old and 3-year-old child in the back seat. Both small children suffered some cuts and other minor injuries in this incident. Both children were provided medical treatment from responding crews at the scene.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the two children injured in this incident.
