Ellington, CT (June 27, 2019) – On June 10, emergency crews responded to the scene of a horrific incident at Ellington Public Works.
According to reports, 48-year-old Shawn Bull was cutting a riser for a catch basin when his chop saw kicked back and struck him.
The saw caused multiple lacerations to his neck and throat area. Bull's co-workers rushed over to the injured man and applied pressure to his wounds as they waited for emergency crews to arrive. Paramedics arrived at the scene of the incident and transported Bull to a helicopter, where he was flown to Baystate Hospital for treatment.
Our thoughts are with Mr. Shawn Bull and his family at this time, and we hope for his complete recovery.
