East Windsor, CT (May 15, 2019) – Around 2:30 a.m. on May 14, state police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on I-91.
According to reports, 24-year-old Dashawn M. McDaniel was traveling south along Interstate 91. Just after Ms. McDaniel passed Exit 44, a vehicle driven by Richard Mingione, which was traveling north in the southbound lane, struck Ms. McDaniel's vehicle head-on.
Both McDaniel and a passenger in Mingione's vehicle, 30-year-old Lyle Olson, were injured in the collision.
Dashawn McDaniel was transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment to her injuries while Olson was transported to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
Our thoughts and prayers are with both Ms. McDaniel and Mr. Olson at this time.
