On Friday night (August 30, 2019) tragedy struck an as yet unidentified woman who was killed in a car accident that occurred on West street in the town of Vernon, CT.
Reportedly, another person was injured and taken to a Hartford hospital while the victim was transported to Rockville General hospital.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. near West Street and Regan Road and is still under investigation. The police reports for fatal accidents often involve a specialized accident reconstruction squad who examine not only the scene evidence but make detailed inquiry into those involved, the physics of the crash, the mechanical functioning of the vehicle and of course, any witnesses or video of the event captured from nearby cameras. It is often a waiting game for concerned family members and there is sometimes a benefit in engaging experienced counsel with investigative resources to deploy while the event is still fresh and additional evidence may be secured that sometimes proves vital to the outcome of civil litigation.
