Brooklyn, CT – Head-On Collision on Route 6 Leaves Woman Seriously Injured

Brooklyn, CT (July 8, 2019) – On Monday, July 8, police responded to a two-vehicle collision that left a woman with serious injuries in Brooklyn. According to police, the crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. on Route 6. 

21-year-old Jahala Beaupre, of Tripp Hollow Road, was traveling east along Route 6 in a 2005 Ford Taurus SEL when she collided head-on with a westbound 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe K1500, operated by 51-year-old Tracy Desjardins, of Plainfield. Both vehicles sustained serious damage and emergency responders arrived at the scene a short time later. 

Police stated that Beaupre was airlifted to Providence Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Her current condition has not been reported at this time. Desjardins was immediately transported to Backus Health Center with injuries that have been considered minor. All the events that led to this incident are being investigated.
