Bridgeport, CT-Serious Injuries result from Crash at Fairfield Ave. & Courtland St.

Bridgeport, CT (June 1, 2019) -   Sources have reported that a serious crash occurred on Saturday afternoon in the downtown area.  One person has been reported to have suffered very serious injuries.

Police, as well as Fire and Rescue, were on the scene for the incident that took place around 5:40 p.m.  Several units were called to the scene as an individual was entrapped in their car as a result of the crash.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Courtland Street. The victim entrapped in the car was reported to be a male, and he was then extricated by emergency crews.

Major traffic build-ups resulted and additional police were called in to help manage vehicles for a safer flow of traffic.
