Bridgeport, CT – Teen Critically Injured In Drowning Incident On Ash Creek

Bridgeport, CT (July 12, 2019) – On July 11, during the evening hours, police from Bridgeport responded to a drowning incident in Ash Creek.

According to reports, four juveniles were in the water at St. Mary's By the Sea when they were overcome by an incoming tide. Three males were able to make it back to shore, but the forth was unable to be located.

Around 6:00 p.m., Fairfield Police boats found a 15-year-old teen floating in the Bridgeport side of the creek.

The teen was rescued and transported to Bridgeport Hospital in critical condition.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
