Bridgeport, CT – Child Struck By Car On Wake Street

Bridgeport, CT (August 5, 2019) – On August 1, around 4:40 p.m., Bridgeport police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Wake Street.

According to reports, a child was riding a bicycle on Wake Street, near Pearl Harbor Street, when they were struck by a motor vehicle in the road.

The child was injured in the incident and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement officers.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
