Bridgeport, CT (August 2, 2019) – On July 30, emergency crews responded to the scene of a child injury in the 1000 block of Sylvan Avenue just before 8:40 p.m.

According to reports from Ms. Angel Blackmon, she and her three children were riding through the area when a dog jumped up and entered into her vehicle. The dog climbed on top of a young boy and two other small children, all of whom fought the dog in an effort to prevent further injuries to themselves.

Ms. Blackmon fell during the scuffle, causing injuries to her knee. Ms. Blackmon and her three children went to an area hospital immediately after the incident.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with Ms. Angel Blackmon and her children at this time.
