Branford, CT – Three Injured In Police Pursuit On Interstate 95

Branford, CT (July 31, 2019) – On Tuesday, a police pursuit abruptly ended on Interstate 95 and resulted in injuries.

According to reports, undercover officers were working in the city's Hill neighborhood when they reported being followed by a suspect vehicle. Officers in a marked car responded to the site and attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled the scene.

The suspect's vehicle fled north along Interstate 95. The driver exited the highway in Branford, and as the vehicle attempted to re-enter the highway, it became involved in a collision with three other vehicles.

Two officers were injured in the collision, as well as one occupant of another vehicle. All three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

Two suspects were apprehended and arrested following the collision.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
