Hebron, CT (October 19, 2019) - A spokeswoman for the state Department of Energy & Environmental Protection says that three college students have been hurt in a boating accident on Saturday afternoon.

Two 19 year old girls and a 19 year old boy were involved in the accident while canoeing on Amston Lake in Hebron. The three Wesleyan students were hurt, but the reason for the incident and the incident itself has not been released to the public.

One of the girls was deemed unresponsive by medical personnel and was quickly flown to Hartford Hospital. The unnamed girl is still in intensive care and the two other students were taken to the Middlesex Clinic in Marlborough for treatment.

We wish a speedy recovery to the three students.
