Salinas vs. Sal War Inc.
This case involved an exploding battery on a construction site which injured the eye of a worker as a result. The issues included product liability for a defective battery and the failure to train and properly supervise machine operational procedures all of which contributed to this injury event. There was an element of comparative negligence plead by the Defendant involving the Plaintiff's role in the outcome and completely opposite expert opinions produced by each party. The case went to Judical annexed Mediation where it settled for $235,000. Meriden Superior Court( 2010).
