East Hartford, CT (May 18, 2019) -   Officials have responded to an accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon. A child was struck by a vehicle.

The accident took place at approximately 3:40 p.m. and happened around 154 Hillside Street.

The details regarding how the accident happened have not been released.  The child was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

According to sources, the child is in critical condition.
