Posted by Connecticut Accident News | Nov 21, 2013 | 0 Comments

The driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee died after his car caught fire near the Connecticut state lane of Interstate 91 at 5:51 p.m. on Sunday, November 10.

An initial investigation conducted by the Massachusetts State Police revealed the driver swerved into an adjacent lane to avoid hitting couch cushions lying in the road. His car then hit a tractor trailer truck, causing his car to catch on fire after the collision.

The accident is currently under investigation as the State Police seek information about the trailer truck.
